While the feature is in the testing stage, it will be released soon through an imminent update.

Currently, WhatsApp allows users to respond with only some emojis. Emojis are delightful, but at times, not reflective of exactly how you’re feeling. So, WhatsApp is developing sticker reactions. This will allow users to respond to messages with any sticker from their sticker keyboard.

As reported by Wabetainfo, the feature will be compatible with all kinds of stickers. Users will be able to select stickers from the WhatsApp Sticker Store. Stickers from other apps imported and stickers pre-downloaded will also be functional. Animated stickers made from the Lottie Framework will also be compatible. That is, reactions will be more fun and creative than ever.

Sticker reactions will give users far more options to show feelings. If you’re in the mood for posting happiness, surprise, or sarcasm, a sticker will give your reaction some oomph. It will add a fun and distinctive spice to conversations that emojis can’t always provide.

Though the feature is not yet complete, preliminary tests are encouraging. All going well, WhatsApp will be rolling it out to all its users in the near future. With this addition, chatting will be more vivid, lively, and personalized.

WhatsApp’s focus on new features shows that it cares about user experience. Giving people more ways of expressing emotions makes communication more natural and engaging.
