After weeks of anticipation and a fair share of frustration, Samsung is finally pushing One UI 7—built on Android 15—to some of its most popular phones. The update is now live for the Galaxy Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and the Galaxy S23 FE, marking a turning point in the company’s rollout timeline.

Samsung Foldables from 2022 Finally Get Their One UI 7

First in line are Samsung’s 2022 foldables. The Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 are now receiving the update, though only in South Korea for the moment. While these devices weren’t part of the official beta program, they’re getting the stable build a bit earlier than expected—Samsung had originally earmarked May for the release.

The rollout comes with build number ending in HYD9 for Korean models, though there’s no word yet on whether this version will be identical in other regions. Samsung hasn’t published a detailed changelog, so users will likely need to explore the update themselves to find out which features made the cut.

Newer Foldables Join the List Too

The more recent Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 are also seeing the Android 15 update start to land. This time, it’s India that’s getting first dibs. Again, details remain sparse, but it appears Samsung is finally gaining momentum after months of inconsistent rollout pacing.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 FE is now receiving the same update in South Korea. Users there are seeing version S711NKSU5CYDA—a hefty download of about 5GB. Along with Android 15 and One UI 7, it includes the April 2025 security patch.

A Possible Turning Point for Samsung’s Update Schedule

Up until now, Samsung has been dragging its feet with One UI 7. While some flagships received early access, many mid-tier and foldable devices were left waiting. This fresh wave of updates hints at a faster, more consistent global release in the weeks ahead. So far, there’s no official schedule for when other regions will receive the update, but given this sudden activity, it’s safe to say the broader rollout has begun.
