We will keep our eyes on the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 news and rumours and will keep you updated!
Basically a slower, smaller note 3. I wonder why Samsung even bothers. I mean clearly 1080p is the most the human eye can see on phones and upping the resolution without upping the rest of the specs can spell disaster. As I said, a slower smaller note 3, is there anyone that would want to buy sth that is already worse than something else released half a year ago?
that was said with 720p too
Indeed 1080p made no difference in sub 5inchers. It’s only that phones -as of late- went close to 6 inches where 1080p matters.
For
1440p to start to matter we’d have to climb close to 8 inch phones, for
anything below that it’s a waste of bandwidth/res, the human eye cannot
perceive it.
Do you think that we are going to have 8-inch
phones anytime soon? If yes, then indeed the move to 1440p makes sense,
if not it’s idiotic…
So 540p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p
In short 1440p is great for anywhere between 8 and 10 inch tablets, it’s atrocious for phones…
i don’t think so because huger devices means less comfort in your trousers and hands… higher resolutions are made because it is fairly easy for the manufacteurer to produce such tiny screens without huge failure rates compared to large TV panels
the only logic behind this is buzzwords to convince the customer that you get a device with more specs than the older one because the flagship market is crowded and you need something to push through and thats only possible with “cutting edge” specs
meh,not exactly exciting….
