OnePlus Apologises for Countdown Madness, gives away more phones!

countdown madness

OnePlus have made an official apology regarding the Countdown Madness giveaway and rewarded original winners with OnePlus One phones and memorabilia.

While running a giveaway where prizes were rewarded prizes for posting comments at certain counts, OnePlus ran in to a spot of bother when their forums started to show duplicated post numbers causing issues with the overall count once fixed. What this meant was fans who thought they had won were stuck in limbo for a few days waiting to find out if they had actually managed to score the OPO.

Gizchina News of the week

Today, OnePlus made this official apology thread explaining the issues and how they would make things right. In the end 10 Oneplus One phones have now been promised to winners rather than the original 3, and each of those winners will have 2 invites to hand out to whoever they please.

In addition to the extra phones a further 100 pens, and 100 T-shirts will be given at random to forum members.

The OnePlus One will be unveiled in Beijing in just 2 days, I will be at the launch so keep posted for first hands on photos, news and impressions.
