Snapdragon 801 Smartisan T1 launched in China from 3000 Yuan

Competing with heavyweight rivals such as Xiaomi and MIUI, and Meizu and Flyme is the newly launched Smartisan S1 with it’s own Smartisan 1.0 OS.

Smartisan launched their Android OS for compatible Samsung phones in April. The OS is a super simplified version of Android which shows app tiles rather than icons to really keep visual clutter to a minimum.

Following in the steps of Meizu and Xiaomi, today the OS startup launched their own Android smartphone named the Smartisan T1. The T1 was sneakily shown off earlier today in leaked TENAA photos, and now here are some official images of the device and full specifications.

For the T1, Smartisan have gone for a smaller 4.95-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 445ppi, this is physically smaller but with a great pixel density when compared to the Oppo Find 7a and the Oneplus One phones. Like the Oppo rivals the screen on the T1 is sourced from JDI in Japan and gets power from a Snapdragon 801 MSM8274AC quad-core processor.

Image capture is handled by a Sony 13 mega-pixel main camera and uses the same imaging solution software as Samsung which allows for great night and low-light performance and panoramas of either 180 or 360 degrees.

Prices for the Smartisan T1 will begin at 3000 Yuan for the 16GB version or 3150 Yuan for the 32GB model. A 4G LTE model will also be available later in the year from 3500 Yuan rising to 3650 Yuan.
