The Umi Cross phablet will now be available in China at the new low price of only $160.
The UMi Cross was the first large screen device from the Chinese phone maker and actually one of the first quad-core octacore, 1080 phablets to become available. The device boasts a large FHD OGS display with LTPS technology, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory and a huge 4180mAh battery.
Earlier this year we reviewed the UMi Cross, but the model now available in China comes with NFC support which wasn’t available at the time of our tests.
Gizchina News of the week
UMi’s timing to choose to reduce the UMi Cross could indicate that a new version of the phablet will soon be available with one of the new LTE enabled Mediatek chipsets. Knowing how the Chinese phone industry moves we would actually recommend giving the current Cross a miss even at its new low price and hold out for a 4G updated version.

no sellers have dropped price yet?
the one that I always buy has dropped it, to 195 $ but it is too big for me.
