Amazon’s first steps in to the Android tablet market have been devastating! The online retailer is on track to sell 5-million of the 7-inch tablets and gadget blogs all over the Internet are writing that Amazon may have reinvented the tablet market!
Gizchina News of the week
If those comments are true Amazon could well be on the way to re-writing the Android tablet rule book again by teaming up with long time Apple supplier, Foxconn to produce the Kindle 2!
The Kindle 2, or Fire 2?, is currently known as the ‘Hollywood’ and is expected to feature a larger 10.1 inch touch screen and much more powerful processors.
Rumors suggest the Amazon Kindle Fire 2 could ship with NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 chipset, and could possibly go on production at the same time and in the same factory as the much rumored iPad 3!
Both the iPad 3 and next generation Kindle Fire are expected to launch in early 2012! Could this be the beginning of the ‘real’ tablet wars?
