top product launches this week

As ever it is a great week to be a fan of Chinese smartphones and related technology, and this week sees some very exciting launches. Here are 7 Chinese smartphone products to watch this week.

This week will see a great selection of smartphones and accessories launch in China. Here are our top 5 to watch.

Meizu MX4 “Silver Wings”- 27th October

Kicking off the week is Meizu with the release of the Meizu MX4 “Silver Wings” Edition smartphone. This is basically the white version of the popular Meizu MX4 with silver body. The name “Silver Wings” comes from a limited edition Meizu MX3 which was suggested by a Meizu fans and released earlier in the year.

The Meizu MX4 Silver Wings edition has the same Sony 20.7 mega-pixel camera, 2GB RAM, octacore MT6595 processor and LTE as the original grey version and costs 1799 Yuan. We are still waiting for an international release for this model and the gold version.

CoolPad Great God F2 – 28th October

coolpad great god f2

Coolpad launched the original Coolpad F2 with Mediatek processor and TD LTE support only earlier in the year. At 999 Yuan the phone was an instant hit in China, but not so internationally due to the issues with LTE and 3G support. The new model which will launch tomorrow fixes those issues with a new Snapdragon 615 processor and support for FDD-LTE and WCDMA 3G networks, meaning customers outside of China can enjoy this affordable phone.

Huawei Honor 4X – 29th October

The Honor range from Huawei has been one of our favourite this year and the latest (greatest?) addition joins this week.

Huawei have been careful not to let details of the Huawei Honor 4X fall in to the wrong hands, but though careful digging and a brief visit to TENAA HQ we have concluded the phone will have a 64bit processor, 5.5-inch 720p display, 2GB RAM, dual-sim support and LTE.

Details from Oppo’s retail stores in China also confirm the phone has a motorised rotating camera and will cost more than $700 in China.

The Smartisan T1 is one of those special phones that I just can’t seem to get buy. I’ve briefly used one before, and I’m honestly blown away by it’s build, settings and features. If only I could get one…….

If you can get one, I’d definitely recommend the Vivo Xshot. If you can’t afford an Xshot, the Meizu MX4 is pretty good as well.

Xshot is currently the best (in my opinion). MX4 is impressive too. Also GizChina.it rave over the Huawei Honor 6 camera.
