The rather good Huawei Ascend Mate 7 get’s a new model in the range in the form of the VIP “Monarch” model.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is a premium device, with a beautiful design and killer features. It is the Huawei phone I would have loved to buy (had it not been for the Honor 6 Plus rumours I more than likely would have bought one by now).
Being a class phablet, Huawei have today released a new version of the Mate 7 named the “Monarch”. The “Monarch” doesn’t get a performance bump, or Sapphire display, but it does come with a higher price tag of 4399 Yuan.
For the extra dough buyers get more storage, 64GB, an Amber Gold Body, extended warranty and special “VIP” features. It’s very much a China only addition of the excellent phablet.
The Ascend Mate 7 and the more expensive “Monarch” have ship with a Huawei HiSilicon 925 processor, 6-inch 1080 display, 4100mAh battery, 13 mega-pixel camera and rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
Thanks again to Simon for the tip!
I absolutely love it when companies figure out new ways to separate status-obsessed “VIPs” from their money.
