Ulefone have begun pre-sales of it’s Be Pro phone, equipped with 64bit Mediatek chipset and 2GB RAM all for just $169.99.

For those of you just hearing of Ulefone for the first time, this is because the company have spent the majority of its life building phones for other brands as an OEM. You could even have a Ulefone in your pocket right now.

Over 2014 we had seen Ulefone appear more often than usual, but it hasn’t been until this year that they have really caught our attention.

Using the supply chains they have built up while manufacturing other brands phones, Ulefone have put together their own smartphone with one of this years latest 64bit processors, and are selling the phone for only $169.99 internationally.

The Ulefone Be Pro is a 5.5-inch device with 720p display, 2GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear shooter. The design is very much a OnePlus One wannabe, and even comes with an optional ‘Sandstone’ rear shell!

The big difference from the Ulefone Be Pro and other similar phones that have come before it are the quad-core MT6732 processor, that gives dual SIM 4G LTE and amazing performance (see the MT6732 benchmarks here), plus the promise of an Android 5.0 Lollipop update (the phone ships with 4.4.4).

Gizchina News of the week

Ulefone are so confident of the Be Pro that they have even created the following comparison against the ZTE V5 Max that retails at $199.99:

The rest of the details of the phone include an 8.8mm body, 2600mAh battery, IPS panel from LG and support for the following LTE, 3G and GSM networks:

Too big, imho 5.5″ on a mid-range phone is a nonsense m. You are supposed to make a relative cheap phone with a not so big battery,720p resolution so the screen should not be bigger than 5.

yep, and it would have been better for handling and battery as well. But hey, this is UPU, never settle! 😀

Based on specs of other Ulefone models, this phone should get 3g from various sources in the U.S.

But for those of us in the U.S., the Zenfone 2 will be just $30 more and will get 3g & 4g + it’s dual sim, and blah, blah, blah. That phone will kick butt and create a whole new standard for cell phones. IMHO, of course.

There appear to be 2 different Ulefone companies. There is the website ule-star.com which has been online for some time now, and which I understand started when one of the guys who the company who makes Star smartphones started his own company. The logo at ule-star.com now says UleFoneX instead of Ulefone.

There is a new website ule-fone.com which appears to be for a different company. They make the Be Pro and they also have a website for it http://www.ulefonebepro.com but it lacking in content for now. Their phones are made by Yatay Electronics which I have never heard of before, whereas the phones from the other Ulefone website are made by GOTRON Electronics Co.

    Hi folks
A little bit of shit to be thrown here.
Why is it doesn’t matter what the product is. !!
You have these nay sayer’s coming up and talking bloody rubbish
In a land far from away people are doing their best making a decision to give people a new product.
Yet here time after time the nay sayers cry foul.
I can only imagine these people have no opinion and no credence
Their children are starving and their wives beaten
But they still need to comment.
What more can I say without being a bigot myself.

We are in the era of ‘Never Settle’. The competition is getting rough so there’s nothing wrong with some criticism. And believe me, even big companies with a crew of experts of marketing can make mistakes (ask amazon how much they lost last year due to their fire phone). Nobody from ulefone will ever read or comments so we are just making conversation sharing our opinions without making any kid starving or wives beaten up
