JiaYu S3 phones are now available internationally through resellers, with pricing from as little as $189.99.
Yesterday, we received our JiaYu S3 phone and so far are quite impressed with the look and the performance of the device. If you want to see how well the 64bit MT6752 chipset in the JiaYu S3 perfoms take a look at these JiaYu S3 benchmarks.
Currently JiaYu are only shipping the ‘basic’ version of the JiaYu S3 (the same as we have) which features 2GB RAM rather than 3GB other than that and the amount of internal memory (16GB on the base model) the specifications between the two phones are the same.
Gizchina News of the week
If you are not in China though and do fancy getting the JiaYu S3 Basic, then you could take a look at reseller SPEmall who have stock of both the white and black models. Pricing is $189.99, reduced from $199.99 and they also have a range of accessories for the phone available too.

Shouldn’t the first sentence read ‘are now available internationally..’ instead on not available! Can’t wait for the review of this one as it’s the only upcoming phone that interests me at the minute.
yes
I like this phone but 189gr is too heavy for me…
it should be 157gr.
The
basic
version supports NFC
as
an advanced?
Ah, not it doesn’t seem to have NFC
Differences:
Basic: 2Gb RAM / No NFC
Advanced: 3Gb RAM / NFC
Go S3 Go S3 Go!
Even if the price is marked up and ‘only’ have 2GB of ram, are there even any competition at that price? Crazy stuff Jiayu.
I think people are holding off for the 3GB version.
Am tempted but would rather the 3 GB so might wait.
It seems that it doesn’t have classical “menu” with applications, as older android phones have..? And could someone confirm that it has LTE FDD band 20 (800MHz)? Thanks..
Is it truely 187grams? In term of weight?
I saw a video on ytb, that the weight of S3 is 157g with battery. I really do not understand, why is on jiayu web pages written 189g.
Check reseller ratings before jumping in. 1 out of 5, mostly very bad comments and the few positive are poory written (make of that what you will). I’d go elsewhere…
Bought a G4S Octacore from SpeMall last year, and it was delivered promptly without any major issues. The phone has been great 6 hours of M8 and battery still at 51%
However I agree we must be careful with resellers.
Indeed! I ordered a zopo a couple of years back, didn’t hear anything from them for a long time then I mailed them and they said the phone was out of stock. I then answered by saying I would like my money back to which they kept responding they wanted to send me a different phone (in crappy english). They simply wouldn’t refund my money so I ended up opening a dispute through PayPal which got me back my money. So indeed be careful!
I bought my G4S from spemall too. Make of that what you will.
Spemall are reliable do not worry
Every reseller with this phone seems to have terrible ratings. Anyone you would recommend?
Of the places that have it, probably Pandawill. Or wait on either Merimobiles or Gearbest, I’ve had great repeat service from both.
Still prefer 3GB version
I bought a G4S from spemall 2014 with extra battery, though they sent phone by DHL and sent the extra battery by dutch post seperately, but everything were received fine, and now I am still using my G4S
spemall is my favorite online shop…love spemall
I’ll wait for Elephone P7000 which to me looks a lot nicer but with the same specs.
Elephone hasn’t a Gorilla Glass screen though
