Ungly! I prefer Meizu M1 note or Asus Zenfone 2.

I’m liking it more and more! It seems to have everything I want, textured back cover is more attractive and practical than the shiny polycarbonate of most phones, and the network bands are sensible for most markets. Good size battery too.
I’d have a hard time choosing between this and the Dakele 3.

I really like it too, but the camera is an unknown (hopefully an OV unit, not something else interpolated), but still I think it will be the Dakele 3 for me, though I guess at quite a higher price.

We’ll have to wait for a proper review, but if ecoo and Elephone are linked in some way, it may turn out to be a disappointment and very late getting to market…
Meanwhile, Dakele only seem to be interested in the Chinese market as the 3 will only work on China’s 3G and 4G networks at the moment. Hopefully they’ll make an international version too.

The Dakele was originally launched early December, but a few days ago there was a flurry of new news stories about it, don’t know if that indicates a new international version or just original delayed.

This is a bit “clunky” but funny!

Also says near the end that it’s only available in China mainland.

I have the phone for 2 weeks now. Still haven’t figured out what sensor they use but I can tell you that the photo’s made by this device are very good! 🙂
The whole phone is actually pretty good. Didn’t expect the fingerprint scanner to work well but it does a great job!

I’ve been using CoPilot in my car: works as a charm 🙂 It uses only the GPS without assistance so it’s a good measure 🙂

          Hi Joel,

Not so sure what you want to know. The notification LED does what it’s supposed to do. When I get a WhatsApp message it’s blinking red, when I get one from WeChat it will blink green. Missed call give me a green blinking light as well.

I haven’t witnessed any pink-orange colors whatsoever, I will try to find the color settings if there are any.

Does this answer your question? If not, please specify and tell me 🙂

Hi, is the 4G/LTE working in the EU if you live there I mean? I live in Germany so I would like to know before I purchase this. Thanks! Maria

              Hi Maria,

              Ecoo E04 supports:

              2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, 3GWCDMA 900/2100MHz, 4G: FDD LTE: 800/1800/2100/2600MHz

For a China-phone I think it supports a lot of bands. My 4G works with KPN which is the biggest Dutch provider. Use Google to find which bands your provider uses and you’ll know but these are the most used, probably also in Germany.

There seems to be an opinion on the net that Ecoo and Elephone are the same company. In fact Elephone announced announced this phone on their own forum and website!

        February 25, 2015

Some elements of the Ecoo website are being hosted on Elephone services. And in the beginning of the Ecoo-website, some contact details refered to Elephone as well. I’ve never owned an Elephone before so I can’t say anything about the quality. Some people say bad things about it, why?
I have the Ecoo E04 now and I am really happy with it 🙂

will it have gorilla glass? on some sites itsin the specifications, in others it isnt…so im wondering if it got gorilla glass?!

    • Jeep ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ
      February 25, 2015

I can’t seem to found out if it has Gorilla Glass. If it would have, they would have used it in their marketing right? But.. it comes with a screen protector, already put on in the factory! So no bubbles beneath the foil! 😀 That always happens when I try it 🙁 I consider this a big plus haha. And I think it’s enough protection for me. Bought a case with it as wel, so..

The lesser model to this looks like its also available as the Ckcom B6, so there might be some name variations out there for this also.

They announced a contest on their facebook page (a free phone for one of the fans) then disappeared as their donkey in the fog.
