Meizu MX5 Render boasts a 41 mega-pixel rear camera

meizu mx5

We’re pretty sure a Meizu MX5 is far from being launched, but for those of you who cannot wait for the next Flyme Android phone here are some MX5 renders.

Created by a Meizu fan in China, the renders are of what a Meizu MX5 might look like. Like the current MX4 Pro the MX5 packs a 5.5-inch 2K+ display and a fingerprint scanner, but this time located behind the classic Meizu halo.

Gizchina News of the week

The device continues to look like a Meizu from the front but the glass rear looks more like a Sony Xperia phone and shows a dual LED set up and rear camera.

Suggested specifications are a Mediatek processor, 4GB RAM and a 41 mega-pixel rear camera.

We have until around September to see what Meizu actually have planned, do you think the next Meizu flagship will look like this?

I’d like them to keep their trademark halo button. The rest, about specs etc we will see in the future.

Who the hell needs 41MP camera? Wtf you gonna shoot?….The Milky Way?

I imagine it’d be used for digital zoom. With 41MP, you could zoom in 4x and still have a picture of nearly 13mp quality. Obviously optical zoom is not really feasible on such a thin device so to compete with point-and-shoot cameras they need to use really big sensors.

Well, it all depends on the sensor and optic technology Meizu will be using for this device. We’ll have to just wait and see. 🙂

Is this going to be like oppo find7 again?! All hype and on the end the pictures are stitched on to get 50mp lol!

unless it has 1/2″ or bigger camera sensor size, its pretty useless… i hope its not interpolated

It’s just a concept of a fan. You are getting it as a sure thing, but it’s just a wish of the concept creator…
21 Mpx is the max nowaday phones can have (unless it’s Lumia).

Who cares, you think it makes much of a difference!?. Not really. But MTK is kicking Qualcomms butt nowadays. 😛

It’s a little bit early to talk about the MX5.

love their present home button configuration with fingerprint scanner , if they abandon i’ll be surprised, it’s almost universally liked by all meizu fans and reviews.
