OnePlus One users in India will get CM12S OTA after all

The OnePlus vs. Cyanogen Inc. vs. Micromax controversy is known to all. Back when the fiasco first took place, it appeared as though OnePlus would stop supplying Cyanogen OS OTA update to its users in India, but a turn of events means it won’t be that way anymore.

OnePlus even announced and then rolled out an early alpha version of their alternative operating system they call OxygenOS. However, it turns out that users of the one and only OnePlus phone yet will eventually be getting the wireless over the air update to Android Lollipop based CyanogenMod 12S!

Gizchina News of the week

Company co-founder Pei made the revelation via means of a tweet to an Indian user of the OnePlus One.

There’s no timeline provided for the OTA specifically for India as yet. Other regions are expected to get the update before the end of this month, so I assume it won’t be too long before the wireless update reaches Indian shores also.

Isn’t CM a free OS, Why YU (micromax) is against using it on other phones in india. I hope court cancels their case against OPO.
