Elephone are rocking yet another smartphone model for their line-up. Below are video and photos of the new Elephone P4000, the world’s first Mediatek MT6735 phone with “World Mode 4G”.
A lot of focus is on Mediatek’s 64bit processors, with many of us looking at the MT6752 and MT6732 models, but they aren’t the only 64bit SoC’s that Mediatek have to offer. A new addition to the family that is just making its way in to smartphonesย is the MT6735 chipset.
The MT6735 can be compared to the MT6732, both are quad-core processors, and both offer native 4G LTE support. Like the current MT6732, the MT6735 has a Mali T760 GPU, supports up to 720p panels and 13 mega-pixel main cameras, the main difference is the chip’s “World Mode 4G” which gives it access to Rel. 9, Cat. 4 LTE (FDD & TDD), DC-HSPA+, TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000 1x/EVDO Rev. A, and EDGE networks.
Gizchina News of the week
Elephone want to be first to jump on the “World Mode 4G” bandwagon and have already sent us some early photos of their new Elephone P4000 which boasts the chipset and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Elephone P4000 MT6752 hands on (Engineering model)
Final details of the P4000 haven’t been released at this moment, but we have made a point to ask Elephone for the actual bands and networks the Elephone P4000 will support, as this could be one of the first low-cost Chinese phones that actually supports LTE in Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia etc.
More Elephone P4000 details as we get them
Another day, another Elephone. Another eternity waiting for it to materialise, only for it to be full of bugs . ho hum.

ugliest phone ever
hmmm zopo zp920 is the still the number 1 of the all time ugliest hall of fame
I hope that SoC become popular with other phone makers…
Andi, are you sure this is the P4000? That model already existed, and it had an MTK6592 SoC. Also, there’s a bunch of typos in the post: it’s way, Elephont, MT6725, etc.
Yup it’s a p4000 Elephone sent me the video and images themselves. Sorry for the Typos this was quickly typed up while I was waking up
the Gpu is not exactly the same betwin mt6732 and 6735 no ?
i tought slightly more efficient on mt6732.
My problem with these chinese manufacturers is that they never optimize their softwares to make judicious use of battery life
They can’t even get their naming structure in order… the P4000 was once marketed as a ‘soon to be introduced’ Mi4 copy cat. Plenty of great Chinese smartphone manufacturers (Xiaomi, OnePlus, Meizu, Oppo). Sadly, Elephone isn’t one of them.

I hope this new chip means that in the near future all the Chinese brands will start to offer 4g capable ‘world’ phones like Asus has already done with the Zenfone 2.
