Ulefone have sent out Android 5.0 Lollipop development ROM’s to Beta testers, take a look at the following video.
The past few years has been a trying time for Chinese phone makers and the customers buying them. We have been able to buy great hardware for a long time, but the ROM and update support has always lagged behind a little.
We saw all of this change though as soon as 2015 started. Chinese phone makers big and small are now working hard to produce custom ROMS and update their devices to the latest version of Android.
Ulefone have been hard at work on Android 5.0 Lollipop for their Be Pro model, and as we can see in the hands on video below they are making some headway.
Gizchina News of the week
Ulefone haven’t allowed fans to download the Beta ROM for themselves just yet as they want to ensure the ROM is finished and working well before the official release. Hopefully the wait won’t be too long and a 2nd beta ROM is due next week.

I’m glad this update is finally coming and even gladder that they’re taking their time. Last thing Ulefone wants to do is release a buggy update because their reputation ain’t that hot right now and another screw up could really hurt them, IMHO.
Come on, post the thing as a public beta. This is 2015. I run an RC linux kernel and build firefox myself from source every few days.
Hell, on my Nexus 5 (that I gave my Mom) I ran the 5.0 beta from google themselves months ago. They weren’t afraid, why are you?
