Ulefone have asked fans to be patient but expect an Android 5.0 update for their Be Pro model to be released as soon as possible.
In a press release sent out today, Ulefone have asked owners of the MT6732 powered Ulefone Be Pro to be patient but expect an Android 5.0 Lollipop update is coming soon. Originally Ulefone promised the update would be available in February, but the process is obviously taking longer than the company had expected:
We had claimed that they would release Android 5.0 at the end of February, but due to issues with the development process the date of release has delayed.
Gizchina News of the week
A beta version of Lollipop for the Be Pro has been released and tester are now running the system and reporting bugs so that they can be resolved ahead of the final launch.
Our aim is to launch a stable and bug free Lollipop update and we ask fans to be patient.
The press release comes shortly after the release of a video showing the Ulefone Be Pro running a beta Android 5.0 system.
Are you a Ulefone Be Pro owner? Are you happy with the wait for Lollipop on your phone?
I hate Ulefone, most because they installed an hidden app which can be removed.
The Chinese government is spying us:/ See google for more info..
Please provide more information about this spy app. While I am not a big fan of Ulefone and probably wouldn’t buy another one of their phones, I don’t think it’s right to flame them without providing evidence.
chinese are literally the MOST innocuous people you’ll see out there!
What he means is that App sending the IMEI number and phone number to a Chinese server that is present on a lot of Chinese phones. I mentioned that on my review of the Be Pro here on GizChina. The application is harmless, as it does only send that information if you are based in China. As long as you stay outside of China, nothing will be sent.
Okay. Thanks for clearing that up.
Give me link to know what to remove
Ulefone is right to do so. For example, Elephone rushed the Lollipop update for the P6000 and now it’s full of bugs, basic functions are missing. People need to learn to be more patient or you will end up with a bugphone.
The P6000 Lollipop ROM is beta still too. They are currently on the 4th beta, each getting incrementally better. The 4.4.4 ROM works perfectly and anyone not willing to try a beta should stick with that. When it is finalised there will be a FOTA update.
Nope, they released a ‘stable’ version already in March, after beta 4. The update is called ‘P6000_V1_20150321’. It is however far from stable; full of bugs. They should’ve never released this as stable.
I like the ulefone be pro but a buggy update would not be appreciated.
Either a bug-free Lollipop or none at all.
