Oppo A31 all glass, LTE phone for $160 announced

oppo a31

Oppo’s phone’s are generally a little more expensive when compared to their competition, but even with the ‘Oppo tax’ the Oppo A31 looks like a nice buy for a style conscious user.

The Oppo A31 follows the all glass styling of the older R series phones to create a stylish little smartphone for those users more interested in looks than all out power. As usual we see a rear 8 mega-pixel camera (possibly the same as the iPhone) with beauty features, giving a nod to the demographic the A31 is intended for.

Gizchina News of the week

As for hardware we have a 4.5-inch display with a 1990’s resolution of just 854 x 480. The chipset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 giving the phone LTE support, plus there is 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory and space for up to 128GB SD cards.

Currently the A31 only comes with TD-LTE support for the Chinese market but there is a chance we will see the phone in other Asian markets. Chinese retail price is 999 Yuan and sales being on the 17th.

Is there anyone that actually buy Oppo products? everything from them is so fucking overpriced.

Few bucks more and you can buy phones with 2GB/3GB of RAM, FHD displays, and the MT6752.

I’m tempted to believe apart from Andy, the rest of Oppo customers are aliens lol

haha, the only Oppo I actually bought with my own money was the Find 7 which I really did like until the screen packed up. Oppo CS in China is the worst too, so took ages to get a refund! I do use the N3 though, but to be honest it’s only because of the VOOC charging that I do.

I had the OPPO T29 and i loved the sharp camera! The phone was good, dropped it a few times, till the day I dropped it nicely and managed to break the glass, fell face down flat on a few rocks. It was a good phone, but not cheap. I love the FInd 7 mini but its single SIM 🙁 The R1C is great looking too, but I feel too slippery……

I wouldn’t insult my eyes looking at this awful low resolution screen, although to be fair to Oppo it’s only $100 overpriced!

I think they are trying to compete with Vivo, but at least they make some damn good phones (I seriously think I’m going to NEED the Xplay 5s when it’s released)!
