Ulefone Be Touch now on sale for under $200

ulefone betouch

To say Ulefone’s made a comeback would be an understatement. A couple or so back, the company was quite talked about, but then it somehow disappeared somewhere… only resurrect itself earlier this year with not only a handful of new devices, but with a much more aggressive marketing campaign.

The newest model launch from the Chinese OEM is the Ulefone Be Touch. While it may not have the most powerful internals (mind you, it does come with a powerful CPU), it is the design similarity with the iPhone 6 that makes it quite popular. Another thing that keeps the device in the news is the fingerprint sensor — which will be of touch and not swipe type.

I kindly disagree. I currently have a Ulefone Be Pro and I love this phone. The only problem is white balance in low light, corrected by selecting the white balance mode manually on the camera menu. The GPS is very good.
And the HD screen is excellent ! Very nice colors, luminosity etc.
I also have a Find 7 with a QHD screen and everybody prefers the Ulefone screen when both phones are side by side..
There is no need for 2K or even QHD on a 5,5″ smartphone screen.
Do you know that most notebooks are 1368×768 pixels ?
My desktop screen is full HD only and I can tell you that I see the pixels much more than on the HD screen of the Ulefone.
I think the debate on FHD / QHD is pure marketing. No real added value for the customer.

I have always liked the Ulefpne Be Touch and was actually gunning for it till I saw the screen res and battery size. No FHD and 2550mAh battery. I think I’ll pass on this one.

Why do Ulefone continually resist putting a FHD screen on any of their phones, including their ‘flagship’ devices.

Probably sourcing the screens is difficult at a small scale, same with their tiny batteries. Lenovo K3 Note looks like a better deal in every way at the same cost.

Other companies don’t have a problem sourcing 1080p screens at a small scale. It’s more the company wanting to make as much profit as possible. If they use a good 720p display I really don’t have a problem with it, to me it still looks good and it saves battery.

Small battery and issues with previous models make this a no-go for me, at least until it’s been out in the wild and proven itself.
Fhd screen rumored for upgrade version later on, by which time they might even have a working version of lollipop!

For that price you can get a Jiayu S3 or if you live in India/Singapore/Hong Kong a MI4i, both better phones. This should be in the $135-150 range especially with only a 720p display.

Fully agree. Buy a known and reputable brand. Ulefone is not one of them at the moment. So much hype for the” 64 bits killer “- the Be Pro! Ulefone OTA (Lollipop) for the Be Pro caused so much despair to users who updated from Kit Kat . Many phones were temporary “brick”” and now users are asked to downgrade to KIT Kat from Lollipop in order to have a stable ROM. So far still no solutions from this mishaps from Ulefone. How to downgrade if you are not the DIY type and need the knowledge to use Flash Tool? The phone has got no Recovery option and can only use a windows PC to flash to the original factory ROM!

Many other company have no reply, but they have, i think they have solution later.

I agree Ulefone did reply. But, it was the Ulefone comunity that actuall help each other. Furthermore, after the first OTA screw up, another OTA with some bugs fixed was broadcast, and this OTA update was useless as no one could flash this updated ROM. So, more Ulefone customers are more upset. It seems like the company is run by kids!

I think ATM the Elephone p7000 is the best phone coming out.

Main let down is the battery in my opinion, but the screen should be fhd too as all of the ‘competition’ have the 1080p stuff going on…

But you just know that battery is gonna be crap!

    COME ON ULEFONE!
    1. This phone is no better than Ecoo 04+ and still you price it higher?
    2. Main selling point is front touch ID? Front scan on Ecoo 04+ works 99% accurate with 10 fingerprints and both L+R hands.
    3. Front beTouch ID tech won’t hide lack of 1080p and weak battery
    4. Android China phone fans aren’t dumb
    5. You were so close Ulefone. You could have dropped a pretty significant FLAGSHIP compared to current competition butYOU BLEW IT! #stepitup

A FHD display and a real 3500mph would have made it and awesome phone… just that … I wonder what kind of price would that command from Ulephone if they priced this at usd$229.00 ???????? (keep in mind the ecoo aurora+ is at around usd$170.00 this days)

I call it a fiasco. Why can’t they make it right this time? The Mlais M7 seems a more interesting phone than this, also the M7 is a few $/€ much cheaper.
