Bluboo show the difference between their huge quick charger for the Bluboo X550 and a regular phone charger.
There has been a lot of talk about battery size this year, and while we see a lot of phones get a bump in battery power, they aren’t all getting the added benefit of quick charging. Quick charging of couse isn’t strictly necessary, but when you have a massive 5300mAh battery like the Bluboo X550 does, it can be a real bonus.
Bluboo have opted to use Mediatek’s own battery charging solution to charge the American Amprius battery in the phone. Mediatek’s quick-charge solution is called Pump Express Plus, a funny name no doubt, but a powerful feature to have.
Gizchina News of the week
Using the special (5V/2A 7V/2A 9V/1.5A 12V/1.1A) charger with an output of 14w, the large quick charger which Bluboo ships with the X550, Bluboo claim a %50 charge can be achieved in just 40min, while %75 takes just 1 hour. In comparison we have seen some phones with smaller 3000mAh batteries take as long as 2 hours to get to %75.
In addition to Pump Express Plus the Bluboo X550 comes with a Mediatek MT6735 processor, 2GB RAM and a 5.5-inch HD display. Pricing of the phone is currently around $159.99.
This should be standard on 3500mAh+ phones.
YEP!!

it is very sad that you can not use this charger for compatible devices as 6595 and 6732 although they are told to be compatible. phone should be engineered to work with this charger.at least thats the situation between ulefone be pro and Pump Express Plus charger

Just showing the body is not enough, what under the hood is important, can have large body with small components inside.

have you seen thesize oppo’s vooc charger!? it’s like Xbox 360’s power brick! this is nothing compared to it lol
Not true, that was the case with the first charger, now they got very small. And you also need to take into account that VOOC uses 4A chargers these days. The Bluboo X550 only delivers a maximum of 2A, which by the way means that it doesn’t use Pump Express Plus but Pump Express instead. PEP would be 6A and needs a larger power supply for sure.
Edit: My bad, it’s 4.5A for PEP
