Smartwatch maker Zeblaze have teamed up with online resellers to offer their newest wearable at a cut down price for a limited time only.
If you are in the market for a low-cost wearable of the non-Androidwear variety, then the low-cost Zebalaze Crystal is one to look at. The watch is currently on offer at only $54.99 for the next 12 days and features a design that mixes aspects of the Apple watch and Asus Zenwatch 2 together more upmarket appearance.
As usual the Zeblaze Crystal syncs with your smartphone via Bluetooth (Android and iOS) and can be used to simply count your steps, show message and call notifications and even act as an anti theft device (an alarm will sound in connection is broken between your watch and phone).

Zeblaze have also worked in a HRH heart rate monitor on the rear of the watch body for more health features. The alloy body attaches to your wrist via a full grain leather strap.
Geekbuying are offering the Zeblaze crystal at just $54.99, as are Coolicool, Focalprice, and Pandawill.
I’ve just bought a $17 U8 clone from Ali so this is a littly expensive…. It’s true that the quality on this one is much better but it still doesn’t have Android Wear so it’s not a real smartwatch where you can install apps , doesn’t have wifi, gps …
17 dollar smartwatch….. A clone of an already dirt cheap smartphone lel
Well no reason to disregard it just because it’s cheap … it’s not like many $100 watches can do more … and it’s not really a clone, more of a copy actually of the U8 watch….
I’m also waiting for a Blocks modular smartwatch, this I bought to hack ( it’s got a MT6260 SOC for which there’s an open source project ) and for basic needs.
If it can handle the basics like notifications of messages, calls and stuff like that I’m satisfied.
Agreed i ussualy pretty much make my own stuff from arduino or pi
There’s an interesting MT6260 project here: http://www.kosagi.com/w/index.php?title=Fernvale_Main_Page
I can’t wait to get my watch to try it out … it’s why the cheaper the better …
Hopefully my U8 clone will have a MT6260
Well it’l be problematic to port a realtime OS on it unless you plan to use NuttX
Im actually really interested what are you willing to do with it?
Well first I want to just poke it a bit and see what hardware it has but if I can I’d like to work on NuttX for it and then have some sort of API …
It would be really fun to be able to write software for a $16 watch.
Well the mtk processor used here is the heart of many 10 dollar phones
You might try to port java apps/games – it would be really cool
Agreed but these smartwatches are kind of lacking in controls and also maybe resolution ( though some old Java games might work with 128×128 )
Lol a lot of java games run in even lower resolution
Funnily enough I bought a $17 smart watch from Ali too, just to have a play with really and to monitor heart rate, sleep etc. Haven’t worn a watch in over 5 years so didn’t want to spend a fortune on one that could end up in the back of a cupboard in a few weeks!
I have bought Zeblaze rover before and felt good. the Zeblaze Crystal looks good both Appearance and function.
This one really looks interesting anyone got some experience with their other products?
as suspected…..
Interface – nothing like the renders.
watch – nothing like the renders – (check out the size of those borders!!)
functionality – nothing like advertised.. heart rate, pedometer, sleep monitor… not automatic.
another cheap , nasty and huuuge fail of a watch.
lol, zeblaze crystal giveaway here: https://goo.gl/XyVNsY
Other retailers are offering it for the same price. I think it is a global promotion, not just for Geekbuying: http://dealsnow.info/2015/08/05/zeblaze-crystal-smartwatch-sale/
