LeTV offering discounts on all its phones September 19th

Antutu Shootout- LeTV Le Max vs OnePlus 2 vs Meizu MX5

LeTV have reportedly decided to offer its phones at discounted prices to buyers in China.

The sale will hold for one day, on Saturday i.e., 19th September or ‘919’. LeTV have arranged fixed numbers of the phones for sale, but even after those sell out, buyers will be able to get the devices for a price below the usual selling price.

Regardless of the model, storage option or anything else, the LeTV phones will go for 500 Yuan off of the normal price. This means that buyers will be able to take home the awesome LeTV S1 for as low as 999 Yuan (US$160) for the 16GB version, which, honestly, is a crazy good price to pay for a phone like that.

Take a look below to see how much each phone will cost during the sale.

Guess you have to hope resellers snap them up and pass some of the discount on.

How much benefit we get from this Andi ?
Are you going to pass on this benefit to us on your gizchina shop ?

    • September 14, 2015

Nope, we already bought stock. The savings are if you buy direct from LeTV

Too bad. It would have been a good time to try the phone while on sale. You’ve said in the past this was your workhorse phone.

is Letv software bugs solved ?

Like signal drops and wi-fi drops?

I have not experienced call drops on my Le Max. Any wi-fi drops I attributed to poor restaurant signal. LeTV have been updating their firmware weekly which I am well pleased with and there are significant fixes like: power saving on standby (major drain before fix); remote app crashes fixed; background downloading fixed; english text in safe/upgrade mode. The phone is getting smarter everyday.

Now I would like to revise my mini-review a little bit from the last time I posted:

Sound/voice recording clear. Audio in/out is the clearest I have ever heard from any kind of hardware. I would buy the Le Max on this point alone.

The wifi signal is one of the worst + some minor bugs. Like cant choose default launcher. And double tap wake makes the phone crash and reboot sometimes.

you can choose another launcher (after downloading) in settings-apps-default apps. hope its right, cant check it because my letv le one dropped on floor… ;-( double tap should work fine, never had any issues

If you do pick up a letv phone you may want a special MHL USB-c cable to hook up to your computer monitor (don’t need a cable with this phone to throw 4k signals to your WIFI TV):

    a nice case:

    and a screen protector (I got a anti-fingerprint one):

I got my Le Max at http://liaow.com/letv.html

I just noticed on that page that a Le Max with a sapphire screen is coming out for 1049USD which I would have bought it was available at the time I got my Max. Perhaps I should sell my Le Max and go for the sapphire one….

why is that page so badly designed? it looks like fake website

        September 15, 2015

If I remember correctly I have been ordering from Liaow.com way back when the Meizu M6SL (near 2006 I guess) came out. It was a Meizu only reseller site back then. It was run by a single individual (and I believe still is) who had to have a friend drive out of their way to go pick up merchandise to resell for international customers. I have never seen better customer service. Liaow is prompt with email responses and will volunteer needed information. Liaow will confirm everything with you and send you a photo of the addressed package ready to be shipped. I am willing to pay more for this service and because it seems this owner is staking his livelihood on it. I don’t imagine ever buying a phone from any other site in the future.

Liaow.com is the best i have ever had! he offers so much service, like rooting, installing play store/google apps etc. quick reacting by email and chat. photos of your package like MeizuMX6ProForever said. a little bit more expensive but its worth it! you should try it!

so this artical is pretty much useless to most people here since one can only pick up a discounted phone on a local reseller or if a shop “decides” to put the phones with discount up :/ kinda meh would´ve sold my One Pro 32GB and bought a One Pro 64GB xD
