Elephone Vowney finally available from next month, will support 120fps slow-mo

If you go sneaking around the Elephone.hk website you might be able to uncover the final specs of both versions of the Elephone Vowney flagship. If not we’ve done the spying for you.

A chat with Elephone reps today revealed that they finally plan to release the 2K flagship (along with a 1080p model) by the start of next month. It’s not clear if Elephone will release the phones for sale from the start of October or if that’s when pre-sales will begin, but what ever the final date might be here are some of the confirmed details.

Most of what the Elephone site reveals is already well known, but I’ll just run over the details incase you have managed to miss them.

The Vowney 4GB is the final name for the range topping device. The flagship features which set it apart from the Vowney 3GB are a 2K, 535ppi display, 32GB of storage, and 4GB RAM. The Vowney 3GB has (wait for it!) 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, and a 1920 x 1080 400ppi display.

Apart from the above all of the additional features are the same for both the Vowney 4GB and Vowney 3GB. Each phone comes with the powerful Mediatek Helio X10 chipset, both have fingerprint scanners on the rear, and both come with a large 4000mAh battery.

Camera hardware looks impressive on the specs too. The main sensor is a 21 mega-pixel Sony IMX230 with fast Phase Detection Auto Focus that Elephone says will take only 0.15 seconds. The camera on both phones also has 4K video recording and even 120FPS super slow mo video!

So only 2 weeks until we can finally buy the Elephone Vowney! Who is preparing to buy the latest from the fast-moving phone maker?

Man I post on topic but I will comment in relation to my thoughts on which phone I plan to purchase. That’s what these sites are about, reviewing product, and therefore comparisons will be made.

I might drop in from time to time, but wont have much to say unless accrediting or bagging Elephone if that’s my next phone.

if you ended up getting the vowney then it would be interesting reading some feedback from you.

oh, you will be back in about 3 months after you bought the vowney, because by that time any support of the vowney will be dropped by elephone and you will be left with an unfinished phone, that might stack some good hardware, but will be full of bugs and a faulty build. 🙂 but don’t worry, they already have their next magical superphone in the pipes you can trust your money in. 😛

I just hope Elephone can dedicate time to this phone rather than bring out one new model after another.
