Pictures of the previously fabled but actually upcoming Elephone P9000 have surfaced online, apparently in a bid to reassure potential buyers about the bezel-less-ness of the phone.
The device seems to use a technology similar to that shown during the early leaks of the OPPO R7. Which means although there might be bezels on the phone, the use of some curved glass and then some physics will make it look like there are none.
The P9000 should make an official appearance sometime soon. Elephone do seem have a lot going on in their camps, with the new Trunk sub-brand, the Ele watch, and of course, the high-end Vowney, etc.

However, the P9000 should be on time for a release much before the end of this year. When it does come out, it’ll run Android 6.0 Marshmallow which will make it one of the first phones to do so. Other specifications of the phone will include the new MediaTek Helio P10 processor coupled with 4GB RAM, a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p FHD display, etc.
You will already be aware about that fact that there won’t be one, not two, but three different variants of the Elephone P9000, including the P9000C and P9000 Lite apart from the ‘regular’ one.
Still won’t believe that it is truly bezeless until I see a real hands-on picture from an independent source. If the above image is legit then it does actually look quite good.
In fact, this picture is the Meizu Metal.Another is nubia Z9.
If Elephone got P9000 and Ele Watch right, in terms of everyday usage, they’re back on track!
Both product are real “on the spot” in terms of design and trends.
Hope they will be well spec’d, well priced, and most important, well evaluated as reviewed.

Since making no bezels or bezels that small is actually expensive, then the price of this will be something like > 350
If it is less than 400 it can surely not cannibalize vowney (well, not too much) and still be decent price for Spec’s.
Your might be right, but then they’ve already sold lots of vowneys, but they never make to many extra batches just incase they lose money from no one else buying them, so definitely over 300 but lower than 400

The Vowney is getting a lot of attention and pre-sales from outside of China. Many sales profiles from the likes of AliExpress have up to and over 1000 pre-orders. Vowney is looking to be a classic mark in Elephone’s history. Let’s hope it gets good reviews and no major faults.
The P10 will be a good phone for those with past problems of not being supported for 4G/LTE bands, as it’s a true world-mode modem inside, like the Helio X20.
The Vowney will not work with some carriers in some nations, like USA, but the P9000 will.
The Vowney has an Helio X10 which is better in other departments compared to the P10. The P10 is an updated MT6752.

Yash, the part of “the P9000 should be on time for a release much before the end of this year” SEEMS kind of out of place given that is ELEPHONE = DELAYS that you are talking about. Remember Downey was meant for let’s see AUGUST !!! and now their webpage says expect for November 20th when they had said September then October ohhh I got confused myself now??. But you get the idea.
I believe a good February is a good date in case they are not trying to cancel the Downey some how.

You’re obviously getting your release date from a sales profiles off 3 tier site.

Elephone.hk doesn’t sell to public so your have to use a recommended 2nd tier seller like; http://www.elephonemobile.com/products/elephone-vowney?variant=1681582467 who also have an October shipping date.
I’ve seen that one too, BUT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE, THEY ARE LATE? I had my money ready for months then had to spend it. Now I’m saving again and the blu pure xl is on amazon US now i alredy have it on cart. Just waiting a review of final product to buy. Now i’m selling my good old Aurora, which has been very reliable.

I want one! Lovely looking phone. I have had my fingers burned with Elephone in the past on the p7000, the screen was awful, with dead pixels/white spots etc. but this p9000 from a design pov looks fantastic.
2 Elephone P6000, one arrived with camera that wouldn’t focus, the other with faulty touch screen. So i would stay away from Elephone for now.

It’s about a phone they can sell into the American market, since the P10 has world bands. The Helio X20 also does but it’s not properly release and more expensive when it does.
That bezelless phone was a dummy phone only… i attended the booth….all ugly thickass phones….vowney 21mpx camera was like a cheap 13mpx cam…. the gold vowney phone ugly as hell….felt like a rusted gold plated brick….

The bezel-less phone is indeed a dummy phone … the model in the picture of the phone is a just a paper stuck on … honestly they have really good renderings of the design online, but once you get those phones in your hands, it’s such a major disappointment …

Basically 100% same as 6752 … 6752 is 1.7GHz, 6755 is 2.0GHz … and 6755 is LTE Cat 6, whereas 6752 is Cat 4, which most operators still don’t support CAT 6, and 2.0GHz would be more power consuming …
So what was the exhibition you went to? Sounds like you are working form Meizu or some group that feels threatened by properly priced phones.

Global sources show in airport expo in hong kong…duh….the only show they can afford to go to… doogee, ulefone, elephone, bluboo, oukitel .. all these crappy phones were there…it was their CES….LOL
People know they are not going to get a fashionista phone for $300 that has same or better features than a $1000 phone. If you want to walk in style then pay the $1000.
I will be totally happy if the phone is strong, properly joined, good battery life even if it makes phone slightly thick, and front line features, like 8MP front cam, 21 MP back, NFC, hires screen, etc. Software support and openness polices all the better. I think that’s the Vowney. I will be critical if it’s not. No sacred cows with me.
I’ve ordered a black version which should mask the bezels like most other brand do with coloured materials to trick the eye.
Oh btw, have you seen the 21MPx? I did, and any cheap 13MPx camera does better …. openess? Like what? Source code? Anywhere available? They aren’t even MTK licensee just for your information … I dare Elephone/Ulefone/Doogee shows proof that they are MTK licensee and they develop the smartphone electronics themselves! They do nothing more than creating a mechanical tooling!

If the camera is stated as a SONY IMX230 and that is true then rating imagery is moot. The same component will probably find itself in next years phones and you’ll be screaming how good it is.
If they used a SONY IMX210 and said it was 20MP using tricks then you’d have some standing.
