Partial specifications of the new Meizu m2 have been released after the phone is sighted at TENAA in China.
The Meizu m2, or M578C, is alive and we have the full details thanks to images and information obtained from the TENAA database.
First of all, the Meizu m2 does have a physical home button just like its big brother the Meizu m2 note. The button is the same shape and is unlikely to house a fingerprint scanner.
Dimensions of the budget Meizu are 140.1 x 68.9 x 8.7mm, the display is described as a 5-inch 720 x 1280 HD TFT display. Hardware includes a 1.3Ghz processor which we believe is the same 64bit Mediatek MT6753 chipset set as the m2 note, there is also 2GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. Camera specifications are a 5 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear.
Gizchina News of the week
As usual the Meizu m2 will run Meizuās Flyme ROM, this time based on Android 5.0.1.
So again its a minor update for the budget Meizu. We wait to see if the rumoured price tag of 599 Yuan is accurate and if the Meizu MX5 will also make an appearance alongside the m2 during the launch later this month.

Dat typographic demons again…. I think you mean 6735 and NO 6753
Nope I mean 53: http://www.mediatek.com/en/products/mobile-communications/smartphone1/mt6753/
Although it could be the 35 too:

Nope Meidtek have both a 53 and 35. The m2 note has the 53:

I know about the existence of both, but I also read this http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/06/18/meizu-m2-passes-tenaa-features-mt6735-2gb-ram/
and thought you are refering to this model

So Meizu M2 and Meizu M2 note are totally different If I’m (and their news) right.
According to the source it has an 1.3GHz quad core chip. So it’s MT6735.

I think this is why Mediatek is moving towards the Helio branding. It is much simpler than the current system with less chance of typo’s or simple confusion with all these numbers!
meh from me !
pales in comparison to its older brother…
is it dual sim?
