Meizu have launched a nice present for Chinese fans for the Chinese New Year by releasing Flyme 3.4.1 for all current MX devices.

With Meizu’s commitment to launching their phones outside of China, we thought it would be prudent to put the current flagship Meizu MX3 through its paces. First things first though wo here’s a detailed unboxing, hands on and first impression of the MX3 and Flyme 3.0.

Q3 is when Meizu will be pushing their way head first in to the U.S phone market and latest details claim that the launch will be accompanied by not 1 but a possible 3 Meizu MX4 models.

Meizu have already announced it plans to launch in the US in Q3 of this year, but the premium Chinese phone maker will be headed to Europe before that!

Although we have seen numerous leaked photos and even video of the Meizu MX3 we have had nothing official from Meizu about the details until today.

Just ahead of CES Meizu announced that it would be entering the US, during the show it was discovered that the company have partnered with online reseller Lightinthebox as their first stage of international availability!

Someone is going to great lengths to show us just how well the Meizu MX3 looks and runs with an Ubuntu operating system, but is this an official machine or a homemade hack? Video and photos after the jump.

Meizu have committed to their promising of expanding overseas by announcing the Meizu MX3 will be available in the U.S by Q3 2014.
