Earlier this week, VIVO released a teaser image on Weibo announcing it will participate in the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Shanghai that kicks off on June 26. The brand per the teaser will at the event reveal its first 5G smartphone. Details about the device are still scarce though, however, scoop from China suggest the brand has more in the pipeline – the 120W super Flashcharge tech.
Aside from the 5G smartphone billed for the event in Shanghai, VIVO has announced that it will be announcing its latest fast charging tech. The latest from VIVO is a 120W super Flashcharge tech that relegates Xiaomi’s 100W fast charging tech.
Gizchina News of the week
Per official introduction, VIVO’s latest 120W super fast charging solution can fully juice up a 4000mAh battery in 13minutes – making it the fastest in the industry. In short, VIVO’s IQOO brand manager says the 120W super Flashcharge technology can jack up a 4000 mAh mobile phone to 50% in 5 minutes, and to 100% in 13 minutes.
The current crops of VIVO IQOO phones only boast of a 44W fast charging tech, and that is VIVO’s highest at the moment. The 120W super flashcharge is a huge improvement over the previous tech, though we are not sure when to see this in real usage. However, there are speculations the tech could first feature in VIVO’s 5G phone which will be announced at the same event.
Talking of 5G smartphone, VIVO hinted earlier that it developed a 5G smartphone by modifying its current vivo NEX S flagship and slapping in a Qualcomm’s X50 modem. However, this smartphone did not hit the market.
that will burn batteries at a very high pace… if only they were easily recyclable, not even talking about “removable”… lol
