When the
tablet market as we now know it kicked off the
ePad was one of the first
Android tablets readily
available, at a price most of us were happy to pay.
Although the
ePad turned out to be a little buggy and not quite as good as later
Android tablets, the Chinese made 10-inch
tablet has gained quite a following and community, a community that will surely be excited at the launch of the
ePad 2!
Like the original ePad this newer second generation tablet has a 10-inch capacitive, multi-touch screen, but other than it's size the similarities end there!
For the 2nd
ePad Zenithink have
updated the o.s to
Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 while also upping the the speed thanks to a
Cortez A9 1Ghz CPU and doubling the
RAM to 512mb!
As you would expect from such hardware updates, the
new ePad, also known as the Eurostar ePad, is a much faster, smoother and stable
device than it's earlier incarnation.
The
ePad 2 is
available in certain markets around the world now, and will likely be released under other branding as an
OEM item in the
U.S and Europe.
