UMi X2 release date is May 15th!

We've all been saying our prayers for a May UMi X2 release date, and if these reports are correct they have been answered with a May 15th launch date!

Earlier this month UMi started a pre-sale of UMi X2 phones where 40,000 limited edition versions of the quad-core, 5-inch 1080 phone have been snapped up already, thankfully for the rest of us UMi aren't sticking to the pre-sale model of selling and instead will hold a first come first serve launch starting May 15th!

UMi are reported to be preparing 50,000 2GB X2 models for the launch, but even with this number we don't expect stocks to last very long when the popular phone is priced at just 1499 Yuan here in China!

The X2 will also launch in India and other countries around the globe, however no announcement on those launch dates has been made yet.

The UMi X2 features a quad-core MT6589 processor, 2GB RAM, 5-inch FHD 1080p display, 13 mega-pixel camera with F/2.0 aperture, 2500mAh battery and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
