Gionee Elife E7, 3GB RAM, 2K display, launching 26th December?

Gionee are doing their best to rain on Vivo’s Xplay 3S parade. Each time a new amazing feature of the Vivo is published Gionee hit back with their own!

As we have already posted, the Gionee E7 is rumoured to come with a 2K resolution display, and Snapdragon 800 processor. New details have emerged today stating that Gionee will be using a 2.4Ghz MSM8974 version of the Snappy processor, and to ensure there is no bottleneck are giving the phone 3GB RAM!

If you have been following news about the Vivo Xplay 3S you will know that the flagship Vivo will also have a 2K display, 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 800 chip, however we also know that Vivo have given the Xplay 3S a F1.8 aperture camera, and 4G LTE support! We wonder if Gionee have similar specs in mind?

Both the Gionee Elife E7 and Vivo Xplay 3S should launch next month, with the Gionee making an appearance on 26th December.

    What’s worrying is the processor. It’s a GD beast. 20% faster GPU clock than the regular 800, which is already a power-monger. It needs at least a 3000 mAh battery with ~3800 being the sweetspot.
    But then it wont be thin.

Battery life on most if not all China made phones are lacking. This is a major issue/set back due to the lack of aftermarket extended battery production…
I currently have a Sprint Galaxy Note 2 w/Zero Lemon 9,300 Mah battery, flashed to Boost Mobile $35 per month unlimited. The only issue with this is that currently non of the places that flash phones are able to allow 4G to function, which I feel is odd and a bit stupid. I am stuck on 3G even though the phone and carrier support 4G. I have been watching Gizchina.com for a year now, waiting for some high tech 4G phones to hit the market. Besides the lack of 4G support I am also disappointed with the complete lack of aftermarket extended batteries for China Phablets etc etc. Of course something faster will replace 4G, in 200 years or so we may very well be saying “beam me up Scotty”
I was thinking about switching to MetroPCS since they were bought by T-Mobile, now offer SIM cards with 4G and only $5-10 more. There is a catch though with that plan, they only give you so much at 4G and then drop down to 3G until the following cycle.
For the most part the prices are better with the Phablets mentioned on Gizchina… Of course there are some drawbacks and I have eyed some handsets mentioned but will wait until some of my concerns are addressed in future design models coming out of China. I have voiced my opinion about shrinking the bezel further and pushing the battery companies to create extended batteries for these products. Though I feel that my comments have fallen on def ears. Sooner or later they will figure it out on they’re own…

I just read that it is using a new 8974AC snapdragon 800 that clocks at 2.5Ghz over at android caotic —here http://android.caotic.it/2013/11/gionee-elife-e7-primo-smartphone-con-cpu-snapdragon-800-msm8974ac/ .. they were wrong about the GPU in previous versions of the chip though. The base 8974 gpu clocks at 450Mhz, but the second gen 8974AB gpu clocked at 550Mhz, but they weren’t covering the older tech, just the new 8974AC in this same phone.
