Hasn’t been long since we first talked about the successor of the Huawei Ascend P6 and the MediaPad X1. Earlier today, this flagship smartphone-budget tablet combo made a brief appearance thanks to the spy cam.
Leaked specs of the Ascend P7 earlier talked about a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core HiSilicon processor and a 13 mega-pixel camera that might feature on the device. A welcome and a much needed feature would be 4G LTE connecvitity — a ‘4G’ logo on the back of what is believed to be the Ascend P7 itself suggests that the device might be 4G-enabled.
Gizchina News of the week
Moving on to the MediPad X1 now. The device was announced a few days back, but not all specifications were released. It is known that the device will come with a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 pixel screen and LTE connectivity. Moreover, the device will pack the same quad-core HiSilicon chipset which is believed to feature on the Ascend P7.
The MediaPad X1 is touted as a cheaper, lighter alternative to the Google Nexus 7 (2013). With better availability in Asian and other developing market, it might well leave the Nexus 7 behind in sales with just a $200 price tag.
