64-BIT Mediatek MT6752 and MT6732 Chips on the way!


In October of last year, Mediatek announced it was preparing its own 64-BIT processors for smartphones, now more details have emerged.

According to sources in China, Mediatek have two processors on the way both of which are based on ARM’s Cortex A53 architecture. It is rumoured that the MT6752 will be an octacore processor while the MT6732 will have a quad-core layout. Both will probably have 4G lte.

Both processors should be more than up to the challenge of taking on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 chipset which has similar specifications, but is already on the market. It remains to be seen when Mediatek will unleash it’s new smartphone weapons.

    I hope they create a dual core cheaper version for budget smartphones to replace mt6572 and other such chips.

    I’ve been waiting for a 2GHz MTK6592 phone to tempt me, then came the MTK6595 that was a total surprise as I thought it would be the same as the 6592 but with added lte. Now Mediatek throw this at us! I’ve been itching to buy a new phone since xmas
