Celkon’s an active player in the super-affordable market. The company is based out of India, and is known for dishing out inexpensive dual SIM phones. Earlier today, Celkon announced the Win 400 which comes with Windows Phone 8.1, and a very affordable price tag.
To be specific, the Win 400 costs only 4979 INR or roughly US$80. The device will be made available via e-commerce stores in the country. The phone has a 4-inch 480 x 800 pixel display, and underneath the hood it has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor along with 512MB of RAM. It only offers 4GB of on-board storage, but that can be expanded using a microSD card.
To take care of your imaging, Celkon will ship the Win 400 with a 5 mega-pixel rear camera with LED flash, and a VGA front camera. A rather teeny 1500mAh battery would be responsible for whatever battery life you manage to churn out from the phone. Of course, there’s no 4G LTE on this budget device; connectivity is limited to 3G and WiFi, however, the phone does offer dual SIM which is a favourite among budget buyers.
Windows Phone devices are gradually catching up with their Android counterparts, and this device is only an example. While Windows Phone smartphones may not have the best specifications, users of the OS swear by the high integration between hardware and software than other Android phones.
