We have been spending plenty of time on the upcoming Huawei P8, but what about customers of entry-level devices? Well the Honor Cherry looks to be one to watch.
Huawei’s Honor brand started off life as a budget rival to Xiaomi’s Redmi range, but soon went on to spawn such beauties as the Huawei Honor 6 Plus. Entry-level models will remain part of the line-up though, and the next could be the pick of the bunch.
According to tipsters the Huawei Honor Cherry (as it is rumoured to be called) is believed to be aimed at the emerging Indian and Russian smartphone markets with a retail price of around $250.
Specs for the phone are an octacore Kirin 620 64bit chipset, LTE and a 13 mega-pixel main camera. Those hardware details actually sound very familiar to the Huawei P8 Lite specs that we saw in renders yesterday.
The final detail is the battery. At 2550mAh it isn’t the largest we have seen, but it is said to give up to 80 hours of usage.
They are definetly trying to sell those to people who dosen’t know the existence of internet,i can get a H6 for that money
Well… there are 243,598,922 internet users in India (that is about 20% of the population). The only other countries that better India are China (279,834,232) and US (641,601,070). And yes, the Indians can get the H6 too, for $270.
BTW, did you know that India and China have real time payment transfer infrastructure but US and lot of Europe doesn’t. Get out of your cave see the world.
That was not my point,no need to be a jerk
Hind sight, agree with your first post, and get your point (may be). There must be a lot of people, all over the world, who to do not know about the existence of internet or gizchina. And they may be the buyers of this phone. There is so much inequality. Sigh!
How can there be 641,601,070 internet users in US if the population is… far less? 319 Million at current.
The entry level in India at least is $ 99..for that you can get capable 5 inch screen 8 MP cam.LTE phones..from quite a few manufacturers including Lenovo. So what is this talk about $ 250 entry level phone in India market. Please get market economics right, YING HUA.
Huawei Honor Holly is selling in India for about $110. I think there must be a typo… this may be competing with the likes of Yureka and Redmi Note at around $150 price band.
please stop calling them leaks.
