Huawei received quite a warm welcome for its Honor 7 in China when it launched in the country last month. It does seem like a good device for the money, but the way Europeans seem to have flocked the phone is something even Huawei might not have imagined.
News is that the Honor 7 sold out in just one day in Europe. The company says that the phone went out of stock on the day when they started accepting orders, i.e., August 27th.
Huawei also said that new orders (I believe the ones placed after 27th Aug) will be shipped 2-3 weeks later.
Gizchina News of the week
The Honor 7 has a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080p display, a Kirin 935 octa-core processor, a Sony IMX230 camera with PDAF and a fingerprint sensor among other goodies.
Huawei is among the hordes of Chinese OEMs trying to make it big in markets other than just its backyard. With the Honor 7, the company does look like it will taste success in more markets than none.
