Lenovo-backed ZUK is already quite a popular micro-company. Thus far, there’s only the ZUK Z1 smartphone the sub-brand has on offer. The international version thereof runs Cyanogen OS, something quite sought after among power users and the like.
If you’re in Europe and had been looking to get your hands on a ZUK Z1, here’s some good news. The phone is now available in Italy, Germany, France, Spain and the UK via Amazon.
As for the specifications of the device, the Z1 has a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of non-expandable on-board storage, a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p FHD display, a rather massive 4100mAh battery and lastly, a dual SIM slot.
The cameras are 13 mega-pixel on the rear and 8 mega-pixel on the front.
The ZUK Z1 is 1799 Yuan ($283) in China, while the prices on Amazon Europe are varying across markets… as expected.
Now that you have means to get your hands on the phone besides just Chinese resellers, would you want to jump the gun on the Z1?
For sure it would me mine!
Umm, €374,99 on amazon.fr… for $283? LOL! are they kidding?
Indeed it’s ridiculously expensive on Amazon!! Especially for a phone that is promoted as a cheaper mid-to-high end device
For that price the OnePlus Two seems a no brainer. Too bad Zuk went that direction and jacked up EU prices. I don’t really understand how they expect to be competitive in Europe.
Hello Andi?
When you can review of zuk z1?
300£ ~ $450 in the UK amazon thats crazy
It’s just too bloody ugly… That button placement on the front, WHY!?!?!?
Why? It’s probably the way they designed the circuit board underneath. Yeah, I tried to imagine putting my thumb that low — it was not comfortable. Ergonomics is something that Chinese companies should start taking more seriously.
$283 for a SD801 phone that costs 150$ to make…no thank you!! The Oneplus 2 costs the same and its another league!!
I think it’s just a Chinese seller pretending to be the ZUK.
Why would they sell non ZUK items if they were really ZUK?
You know what? I think you’re totally right! The seller is “lenovo”, who actually sells many other products that are NOT from lenovo… Something’s fishy here!
