Two new Doogee offers – Dooge Y300 and Doogee X5S

Online reseller Lightinthebox brushed up their Doogee stock and is offering two new models, which surely wont ruin your wallet. First one is the updated model Doogee X5S and the second brand new presale Doogee Y300.

Doogee Y300

The Y300 model offers 5-inch display with HD resolution, quad-core MT6735 processor paired with GPU Mali-T720, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage space. Front cam is 5 Mpix and the back main one is 8 Mpix with LED flash. The phone doesn’t feature any hardware system navigational buttons, everything is software based and speaking of software, system is Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Rest of the specs is pretty standard for the class and price range, dual SIM, 4G support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, full range of sensors and battery with 2200 mAh capacity. The phone is nothing heavy with 145g and the presale price is set at 139.99$.

This model belongs to the ultra budget category and has 5-inch HD display, MT6735 processor with 1GB RAM and 8 GB of storage, 5 Mpix main camera and 2400 mAh battery capacity. Phone has Android 5.1 and is already in stock with 64.99$ price tag.

We haven’t heard much these days about Doogee, hopefully they spent that time improving their quality.

        Doogee is actually a subrand itself, it is owned by KVD one of the OEM’s in China that manufacture phones for a lot of the cheaper brands.

i know 35 is budget but man they way how oems use it so frequently it feels like there is no successor to the 6735, looks like they will still be used heavily for the next 5 years

  Well look at it this way, its a step up from the 6580 that refuses to die. That was crap when it was released and is still crap now! This shows they can at least use a more modern SoC and still keep costs down making the 6580 redundant.

        its bad for me, but for a user thats going to browse and do things casually it is fine, why its bad for me is:
        1) its a 32 bit processor, although i must admit that phone apps etc havent completley fully transition to 64 bit, what it means is relatively speaking this chip set is not future resistant
        2)its gpu is very very very weak, even for screens of lower resolution it is and was bad for the games i want to play, but it can play casual games
        3) the mtk 6735 exist and although i also hate this chip, it is the succesor to the 6580 so its a bit redundant ALTHOUGH!!! the 6580 is still cheaper hence why phones have them
        4)back in the day the 6580 could almost never play 3d games in my experience but the 6735 can atleast

        Technically speaking the 6732 was the successor to the 6582. The 6580 is a “new” chip (it’s just a rebadged 6582 with an updated modem) that was released last year for countries with limited or expensive LTE coverage. The 6735 was the successor to the short lived 6732.

    The 6580 isn’t bad for someone who only does the minimum with their phones. I bought a Blu phone for a relative the other day with this chipset. It is perfect for them seeing as they do three things with their phones: call, text, facebook.

      I’m not disputing that just that the 6735 does more for virtually the same price, hence very little need for the 6580, unless MT are giving them away to delete stock levels!

  The 6735 is an excellent budget SoC, it provides a good mix of performance and efficiency. Eventually the MT6753 should become the new budget SoC and the Helio P10 and X10 will be the midrange.

      I don’t know specifc reasons but it could just be availability. It could be exclusive contracts, or it could just be the smaller brands cant afford to buy the chip in mass quantities.

      You are thinking of the 6752. The 35 and 32 are pretty much the same chips, the 35 just has a world modem which is why everyone uses it now. As for the 6752 there are numerous theories as to why they stopped production, most of us believe it’s because the performance was too close to the X10.
