Sporting an all metal body, Mediatek chipset and 3GB RAM the Oppo A59 is now officially available in China.
The Oppo A59 was spied on TENAA a while back and now it has been officially listed on the Oppo website in China. Priced at 1799 Yuan the A59 appears to be a decent mid-range contender on the surface, with an all metal body, octacore chipset, 3GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel camera, but upon closer inspection the specs are a quite a bit lower than similar priced phones.
Gizchina News of the week
Oppo have opted for a 5.5-inch HD display on the Oppo A59 and the chipset is a basic Mediatek MT6570 with Mail T860 GPU. The phone isn’t even running Marshmallow and instead the ColorOS ROM is based on Android 5.1 instead.
There are a few nice features though such as the all metal construction, large 3075mAh battery, VOOC fast charging and room for a 128GB SD card, however we can’t help thinking the ZUK Z2 with 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 is a much better purchase at the same price.
