Vivo have a set routine that the follow for the new phones, and that is to simply tease main points of the device just before the launch, but it seems someone let the whole cat out of the bag.
Earlier in the week we saw the first official teaser for the Vivo X7, which told us that Vivo’s next smartphone will get a front facing camera of 16 mega-pixels. Not only was this big news as it will be the highest resolution camera found on a Vivo phone to date, but it also set the tone for the phone I.e we all already knew that this wasn’t going to be a high-powered Snapdragon monster.
Gizchina News of the week
To follow up the first teaser a second has now been released showing that the Vivo X7 will have a fingerprint scanner, but not on the rear of the phone like previous Vivo phones, but on the front. What’s more the button is in the same position and the same shape as the one found on Oppo devices and the new OnePlus 3 (both sister companies of Vivo). Another teaser also confirms the use of a front facing flash on the phone too.
If that were’n’t enough, more specifications have been leaked for the phone which show that while it won’t be a flagship device, it is still going to be plenty powerful enough.
According to the leaks the Vivo X7 will sport a 5.2-inch FHD display, Mediatek Helio X25 chipset (remember the updated X20 that Meizu said only they will use..), 3000mAh battery, and memory options of either 4GB RAM and 64GB storage or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
As for pricing, well it is believed to be higher than similar brands with the 4GB RAM version costing 2698 Yuan and the 6GB RAM variant coming in at 3288 Yuan.
Great looking phone and specs, but knowing Vivo, this will be priced higher than the Mi5 and OP3, which will make it tough to sell.
It’s bound to cost more but it won’t stop them selling loads of them.
Vivo’s customers will gladly pay for them, Vivo will have no trouble selling these.
