Today, Huawei released an invitation letter inviting the media for the launch of its flagship Mate 20 series in London on October 16. A few hours later, well-known tech enthusiast, Roland Quandt revealed that the Huawei Mate 20 series is expected to support SuperCharge fast charging and the maximum charging power is 40W. However, Roland is not sure of the model that supports 40W SuperCharge fast charging.
Huawei Mate 20 series has at least two smartphones, Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, and both are expected to be released at this conference. The two new models will use the water drop display and a notch respectively. The Mate 20 Pro is expected to be equipped with 3D structured light technology for detailed and advanced face recognition. Though it has long been speculated, the invitation letter confirmed the use of 7nm process Kirin 980 chip on these devices. The Kirin 980 comes with Cortex A76 and uses a Mali-G76 GPU. According to the company, the performance is increased by 46% and the energy efficiency increased by 17% compared to the Kirin 970.
