Do you remember the Vivo S5 smartphone which was accidentally exposed by Vivo’s S series spokesperson, Cai Xukun? Well, it seems that we are finally getting a confirmation of the handset’s name as well as of its imminent arrival. The handset will come with fairly interesting design with four cameras, lined up in a diamond shape. Today, Vivo’s official Weibo account published a teaser confirming the “S5” name.

The tagline of the device can roughly be translated as “Illuminate your beauty”. The Vivo S1 and S1 Pro were released as photo-centric smartphones. Based on this, we believe that the upcoming Vivo S5 will also come with great focus in the camera. Also, the “Illuminate your beauty” logan can stand for some selfie-centric modes.
Currently, there are no details about the internals of this handset. However, we believe that it will sit at the midrange segment and will boast a 64MP main camera. It may be the same 64MP camera which is present in the Vivo NEX 3. Besides that, the smartphone should boast some interesting fancy color finishes. The Vivo S1 was sold in Love Blue, Coral Red, Midsummer Dream, and Cherry Pink. We wouldn’t be surprised to see these colors making a comeback with the S5.
