Folding smartphones are undoubtedly the latest development trend in the smartphone industry. Although there are no rumors that Apple plans to release a folding smartphone in the near future, Apple is clearly exploring its potential.
As we all know, Apple has been developing the foldable display technology for many years. The company even has a couple of patents for foldable devices. However, whether this research and development result can become a new foldable product, remains uncertain.
As of now, foldable devices are not really ready for the smartphone market. They are the most fragile devices and also the most expensive. It’s preposterous to buy an expensive device that is also fragile. Nevertheless, with consistent development, OEMs will find a way to make foldable devices more affordable and more durable.
