Apple’s first 5G iPhones, iPhone 12 are currently enjoying high demand. According to Wedbush, the company is getting set to unveil the iPhone 13 in October this year. This year, Apple has not had to cut production orders, many thanks to the iPhone 12 sales. According to reports, for the next three months, the iPhone orders will basically remain the same.
Analysts Daniel Ives and Strecker Backe wrote
“We have not seen a robust launch upward trend such as this in a number of years for Apple,”. They believe that for the first time in many years, the iPhone 12 will match 2014’s iPhone 6 performance.
According to Wall Street, Apple will sell about 220 million iPhones this year. However, Wedbush believes that Apple will do much more. According to Wedbush, Apple will sell about 240 million units or even 250 million units of iPhone. If Apple eventually makes any of Wedbush’s predictions, it will be an all-time record. As of now, Apple’s best performance is the 231 million units it sold in 2015 with the iPhone 6.

iPhone 13 speculations
According to reports from Wedbush, the upcoming iPhone 13 will arrive in the “third week in September”. Nevertheless, the company will continue to work on more models which could push the launch to early October.
Apple usually releases its new iPhones in September. However, the iPhone 12 series arrived in October 2020. This shows that Apple could actually push its launch to October. Apple is planning higher build orders for the “iPhone 13” at around 100 million units. This is about 20 million units more than the initial predictions of 80 million iPhone 12 units before the onset of COVID-19.
Apple said
“While this number will clearly move around over the coming months, we believe this speaks to an increased confidence with Cook & Co. that this 5G driven product cycle will extend well into 2022,” the note states. A “post-vaccine consumer reopening environment” may also be beneficial to sales.
Furthermore, a report from Wedbush shows that the iPhone 13 (tentative name) will have more storage options. Of course, we know that the iPhone 12 already offers 1TB at the high-end option. There have been reports claiming that Apple will increase the storage capacity. These reports have been available since late 2020.
As of now, there is not much information on the iPhone 13. However, Apple will have to make significant upgrades if it would have a chance to supersede the iPhone 12 series.
