The Chinese tech company is gearing up to unveil two new smartphones during its upcoming launch event. The event is slated to take place on October 21 in Vienna, Austria. Huawei will be taking the wraps off the Huawei Nova 9 and the Huawei Nova 8i during this event. The Nova 9 and the Nova 8i are Huawei’s latest mid-range smartphones.

Moreover, this will be after a long time, the company is bringing new smartphones to other regions outside China. Huawei has been forced to use its own services and app store, which restricts the company from launching its devices in other markets. Moreover, if Google Mobile Services are removed from Android smartphones, their usability reduces considerably in global markets. However, a new report suggests that Huawei is planning to launch the Nova 9 4G in Europe.

Taking to his Twitter account on October 15, renowned leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore shared the pricing details of the Nova 9 4G in Europe. According to the tweet, the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant will retail for €499 or €549 depending on the region. Aside from that, Ambhore shared a couple of renders and other images in his tweet that divulged the phone’s key specifications.

Another noted leaker, Snoopy has shared nearly all the specifications of the Nova 9 4G smartphone via a tweet. The leaker claims that the Huawei Nova 9 4G smartphone will sport a 6.57-inch OLED panel with a pixel density of 392 PPI. Furthermore, the phone’s screen will have curved edges. Moreover, it will feature a pill-shaped cutout. Under the hood, the phone could pack a Snapdragon 778G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM.

Aside from that, the Nova 9 4G is tipped to offer 128GB of onboard storage capacity. On the downside, the phone does not come with a microSD card slot. In other words, users will not be able to expand the built-in storage capacity. The phone will be drawing its juices from a 4,300mAh battery, which is likely to offer 66W fast charging support. Snoopy divulged details about the camera configurations as well.

The Nova 9 4G will probably come with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and two 2MP shooters. Upfront, the phone will house a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The phone will run the Android 11 operating system. For connectivity, it offers a USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, dual SIM slot, and 5G. Regrettably, the 3.5mm audio jack is not available on the device. However, it has an in-screen fingerprint scanner for additional security.
