Vivo Y37 Launched: Affordable 5G Smartphone with Trendy Design


Vivo Y-series focuses on the budget-oriented market. Several phones are in the lineup, and now Vivo has released the Vivo Y37. It is a 5G-powered smartphone bringing the latest connectivity at a cheaper price. Let’s check out all the details about the smartphone below.

Vivo Y37 has a trendy design language featuring a boxy camera module on the rear. The company says the phone’s design is inspired by high-end watches which are prominent by the metal lines outline. There are color options to choose from including Black, Green, and Purple. The phone has a thickness of  8.39mm, while it is quite light-weight measuring only 185g.

Specifications & Features

Vivo Y37 features a 6.56-inch display with a resolution of 1612×720 pixels. It would have been a better choice if Vivo gave a FHD+ Display. However, the phone still comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it has an 89.64% screen-to-body ratio ensuring a decent viewing experience.

Powering the smartphone is the Dimensity 6300 processor. This is an octa-core processor based on 6nm architecture. It has 5G support giving the budget phone the latest connectivity. Additionally, it supports LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM and eMMC5.1 ROM.

The Vivo V37 has a dual rear camera setup featuring a 13MP primary shooter. It is a basic camera setup which is expected at this price range. On the front, a 5MP takes the responsibility of selfies and video calls. In the battery segment, the device ensures long-lasting performance with its 5000mAh capacity that can be charged at 15W. Pricing

The Vivo Y37 will be available in China in various variants. The base variant with configuration of 4GB and 128GB internal storage has a price tag of 1,199 yuan (~$165). That said, this is a budget-oriented device that offers 5G and a fancy design. However, the lack of a FHD+ display and ultra-wide shooter are some of the downsides of the phone.
