Huawei is ready to debut a new Enjoy 70 series smartphone into the mid-range segment. The Huawei Enjoy 70X has been confirmDed for January 3. With just a few days remaining before the launch, a couple of details have emerged. The smartphone’s design has been confirmed thanks to a hands-on image.
Huawei Enjoy 70X Design Confirmed in Hands-On Photos
We knew that the smartphone would feature a design similar to the Huawei Mate series thanks to the official teaser image. Now, hands-on photos show the phone in real life. We can spot its curved display with a pill-shaped” camera island at the top center. Talking again about the curves, the phone looks like a premium smartphone when we look at this display with minimal bezels.
The rear camera has a disc design with a black part that has the cameras and LED flesh surrounding a smaller circle that matches the smartphone color. This design is traditional for Huawei, and after all those years, still looks good.
The Huawei Enjoy 70X has the model number BRE-AL80 and boasts the Kirin 8000A SoC. As per the leaks, this is a hexa-core CPU with three ARM Cortex-A77 cores at up to 2.19 GHz and three ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 1.4 GHz. These are far below what we currently see in the premium mid-range segment. But if we remember that Google was using Cortex-A76 cores for its flagships two years ago, we can say that the optimization will determine the device’s performance. The Huawei Enjoy 70x also has a Mali-G610 GPU running at up to 864 MHz.
Key Specs
The smartphone runs HarmonyOS 4.2 and will arrive in White and Cyan colors. The smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch 2,700 x 1,224 pixels resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is the OLED kind and comes with 1,200 nits peak brightness, plus 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. At the back, the phone has a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The rumors point to the presence of a huge 6,100 mAh battery with support for 40W fast wired charging. The handset will be 7.98mm thick and will weigh 189 grams.
