Honor 700 and 700 Pro Could Support a 200mm Teleconverter

Honor may bring a camera feature from its flagship phones to a more affordable range. A new leak says both the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro will support a 200mm teleconverter. The add-on could help users take better photos of distant subjects.

The Honor 700 series is expected to launch in China in November. Honor has not confirmed the phones or their camera features yet. Still, new leaks are starting to reveal what the company may have planned.

The 200mm teleconverter is the main detail in the latest report from tipster Digital Chat Station. The accessory is said to work with both the standard Honor 700 and the Pro model.

A teleconverter adds optical reach to a phone’s camera. It can help capture distant subjects with more detail than digital zoom alone. The exact design of Honor’s accessory is not yet known. We also do not know if it will come in the box or be sold separately.

The feature could help the Honor 700 series stand out. External zoom lenses are still rare on phones, and they have mostly appeared on more expensive models.

The Honor 700 series may also have a slim design, a Snapdragon chip, and a large battery. Leaks point to a 6.57-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and thin borders on all sides.

A small screen on the back is also rumored. It could help users frame selfies with the main camera. Earlier reports put its size at 1.72 inches, but Honor has not confirmed its design or features.

The Pro model may have a 200MP main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. The standard Honor 700 could miss out on the periscope lens, though both phones may support the external teleconverter.

Both models are also rumored to use batteries close to 9,000mAh. That would be a large capacity for phones with screens of this size.
